Re: Commissions + Other Things

I've been getting a lot of notes on DA recently about doing commissions or otherwise making art/graphics for people. While I appreciate the interest, I am not currently open for doing new commissions and probably won't be for a while. The reason being that I'm already swamped with a backlog of commission work on top of working a day job that is both physically and mentally exhausting. It sucks, but, you know... gotta pay rent and bills and such.

Since I'm more or less not active on DeviantART, it's safe to say that notes regarding commission inquiries and/or requests (which I do not take nor do I plan on ever taking so please stop asking) usually end up going unseen for days or even weeks at a time. I do have a designated email for such things, so if you're interested in me possibly doing some commission/freelance work for you in the future, then please email me at adrimakesart@gmail.com

I pretty much always have my email client open at all times, even when I'm away from my computer, so you're much more likely to get a response that way, rather than sending me notes through DA or Tumblr or wherever. Even though I'm not currently open for commissions, I still will field questions about prices and such, so that way you can have a better understanding of how my prices work and can budget accordingly.


On a somewhat related note! I'm probably going to start setting up a Patreon page this week, to at least help while working on this backlog, if not grant me the opportunity to start doing art full-time again (which is ideally what I'd like to be doing and not being miserable in a food service job that doesn't pay me wages equivalent to the amount of work that I do). I'll make an announcement once it's all set up if you're interested in contributing to it.
